Greetings from Carrabassett Valley!
The 2026/27 school year is off to a remarkable start, and there is so much to be proud of across campus already.
It began before students even arrived, with a robust and successful employee orientation that set a strong tone for the year ahead. Our faculty and staff came together to prepare, connect, and recommit to the work of supporting our students, and that spirit has carried straight through into these first weeks.
Registration Day brought the same energy we always hope for, returning families reconnecting, new families finding their footing, and campus buzzing with anticipation. From there, our orientation trips gave students the chance to build bonds, create memories, and share experiences that will carry them through the year together. Ask any student about their trip and you'll get a story worth hearing.
On the athletic side, the High Performance Center continues to prove its value to our program. What began as a new space has become an essential part of our student-athletes' daily routines, bringing strength and conditioning, recovery, and rehabilitation together in one place. Its success has also opened the door to additional student programming, creating more opportunities for our students to train, recover, and grow both on and off the field.
We're also thrilled to welcome back Advisory this year. Advisory brings students together in small groups with a teacher and coach pair, giving every student a trusted adult in their corner and a consistent touchpoint throughout the year. It's a simple structure that makes a real difference, and we're glad to see these groups reconnecting across campus.
Finally, our Campus Master Planning workshops continue this fall, carrying forward the long-term work we began last spring to ensure our facilities and grounds keep pace with our students and programs for years to come. We're grateful for everyone who has taken part in these conversations and look forward to continued input as the plan develops.
It's a privilege to be part of a community that shows up for our students in so many ways. Thank you for a wonderful start to the year.
